Absolutely devastated, and find myself needing to rehome my 2 darling babies. They are 8-9 years old, vaxxed, chipped, fixed, and indoor girls that have grown up together. Due to health issues, I can't keep them in our home anymore. But I desperately want to keep contact with them, maybe visit them sometimes in their new home, or get pictures sent to me periodically. They are amazing cats that deserve the best most loving home.
I'm in a bad situation with my 2 fur babies. I need to rehome them quickly, but I am devastated at the thought of losing them. I can't keep them in my own home anymore due to health issues my husband is facing. I would LOVE to be able to visit them sometimes, they are my children to me.
I have found a few websites that I can surrender them over to be put up for adoption, but the thought of never seeing them again shatters my heart. I'm hoping you might be interested in taking them in. I need to know they're safe and loved, and to be able to check in on how they're doing.
Here's some info about them:
Both cats were adopted from a shelter in Florida when they were a few weeks old. We have had Izzy for about 9 years. And we adopted Molly a year later so Izzy would have a sister, so she's about 8 years old. I would love to keep them together. They are like real siblings in the way they interact, not very cuddly with each other, but both love to cuddle with us separately. They are both indoor cats, litterbox trained, and got fixed as babies. It has been just the 2 of them with us their whole lives since adoption. They haven't been around other animals without separation barriers in place, so they would need to adjust to any new siblings.
Molly is a chubby little lover, who spends most of her time sleeping somewhere warm or on the highest tier of her cat tower. She's not very talkative, but she is very sweet and loving. She communicates through body language, so if she wants you to open a door for her, she will just sit in front of it and stare at it until you notice her, but she won't yell unless she locks herself in a room alone and needs to let you know. She loves everyone she meets instantly and loves to be pet. She has the classic Tabby look in all her dark color and markings and is a total fluffball.
Izzy is energetic and adventurous. She is very smart and communicative. She will come up beside you and grab your arm with her paw to get your attention. Then when you stand up, she will lead you to whatever it is she wants. She'll walk you to her food bowls if she wants more to eat or drink. She'll flop over on her side if she wants to play or get pet on. She'll hop up in your lap if she just wants to cuddle somewhere warm. She loves to go to the bathroom with you, even sit on your lap there, and when you wash your hands she wants to drink the water left in the sink. She is more reserved at first and prefers to sniff you while you aren't looking to get to know new people. She is what I call "peaches and cream" colored. She isn't a typical vibrant orange-cat color, and has lots of cream spots and stripes.
They need a loving home.
