The Les Paul that started it all, the original Les Paul standard that debuted in 1952 featured a pair of single coil P90 pickups, trapeze style wrap tailpiece, and the famous "goldtop" finish Les Paul insisted on to convey a sense of elegance to the electric guitar, once considered a novelty but soon to be the soundtrack of generations to follow. This 2009 Tribute model is Gibson USA's take on the original design. A prototype of a later Custom Shop run, this guitar is hand numbered and stamped "prototype" making it a worthy addition to any collection. It includes the original hardshell case and certificate of authenticity. A great sounding P90 goldtop and a worthy tribute to the guitar that started a revolution! OHSC
