Eastman E3DE - Dreadnought All solid wood Acoustic Guitar
The Eastman E3DE is a value-driven, all-solid dreadnought that channels the brands hand-crafted feel and traditional voicing. Sitting neatly between the E1D/E2D and E6D, it pairs a solid Sitka spruce soundboard with solid ovangkol back and sides for a tone that blends rosewood-like shimmer with a focused, musical midrange. Herringbone accents, a classic rosette, satin finish, tortoise pickguard, and open-gear tuners give it a timeless look, while the ebony fingerboard and bridge underscore its premium build.
Hand-carved, scalloped X bracing lets the responsive Sitka top breathe, delivering quick attack, strong projection, and generous headroom. As a full-bodied dreadnought, the E3DE offers piano-like bass, clear, singing trebles, and a balanced midrange that stays articulate under a heavy strum. Big chords bloom without getting woolly, flatpicked lines leap out with definition, and fingerstyle passages benefit from rich overtones and a satisfying, wood-forward clarity.
Playability is dialed for comfort and control: the 25.4-inch scale adds snap and volume, while Eastmans Traditional Even C neck profile, a 12-inch fingerboard radius, and a 1.75-inch bone nut make intricate fretting feel natural. String spacing at the saddle (approximately 2-5/32-inch) welcomes thumb-over work and nuanced right-hand patterns. An ebony bridge and bone saddle enhance sustain and note separation, and the dual-action truss rod keeps setup precise through seasonal shifts.
