Macallan Sherry 18 years 2020. Während der ausschliesslichen Lagerung in Oloroso Sherry Eichenfässern aus dem spanischen Jerez verwandelt sich unser reichhaltiger, fruchtiger und vollmundiger Feinbrand New Make Spirit in einen Single Malt mit Kultstatus. Nach der Abfüllung bleibt das heranreifende Destillat 18 Jahre lang ungestört in denselben Fässern. Während dieser Zeit entwickelt sich dieser reichhaltige und komplexe Single Malt, der durch reifes Eichenholz, Ingwer und Rosinentöne charakterisiert wird.

Bruichladdich 1985 32yo Hidden Glory
Der Bruichladdich 1985 32 Jahre Bourbon : Hidden Glory aus der Rare Casks Serie ist ein reicher, tiefer und sehr aromatischer Single Malt. Er enthält die letzten 22 Bourbonfässer, welche 1985 destilliert wurden und bis 2012 reiften. Als Jim McEwan sie entdeckte, füllte er sie in neue Bourbonfässer um. 2017 erfuhren sie ein kurzes Finish in Bordeauxfässern, bis dann schlussendlich 4200 Flaschen bei 48.7% Fassstärke abgefüllt wurden.Die Rare Casks Series enthält die letzten Single Malts aus den Destillationsjahren 1984 (All In), 1985 (Hidden Glory) und 1986 (The Magnificent Seven). Die drei Abfüllungen stehen für Bruichladdichs Kreativität und Eleganz und sind so alt wie der heutige Chefbrenner Adam Hannett.

Palate: Viscous and thick on the palate, there are notes of dark fruits, bung cloth and dates, with touches of spice and peat smoke.
Finish: A long-lasting finish, there are notes of salted caramel, toffee and the continuation of the peat smoke note.

Glendalough 13 Jahre Mizunara
This very special Glendalough 13 Year Old single malt is the first ever Irish release to be finished in Mizunara Japanese oak puncheons after first being matured in first-fill bourbon barrels. It comes to you with hints of spice, citrus and apricots with a touch of vanilla, pine, and creaminess from the oak. Classic sandalwood, lychee and coconut from the Mizunara is a pleasant surprise considering this is just a finish. Mizunara Oak, or Quercus Crispula, are notoriously difficult to work. The tree doesn?t grow as straight as it?s American or European cousins and is also prone to leakage. The trees also need to be very old to harvest for barrels meaning the cost is even higher. We think the trouble it worth it! Very limited batch and one of the earliest Irish whiskeys to be finished as such.
