I built this bike as a nostalgia project after finding a second-hand Ancillotti frame. After rebuilding it twice and experimenting with the setup, I realized that the bike feels a little too small for me (I'm 172 cm tall). It's simply a matter of personal fit and riding preference. Since I already own three other mountain bikes, I've decided to let it go rather than have it sit unused.

Frame
Ancillotti Scarab 29"
Exact frame size and production year are unknown, but I believe it was manufactured before 2019.
Includes both original Ancillotti rear shocks.
Spare derailleur hangers and spare linkage bushings included.
Main pivot axle and all linkage bushings replaced during a full service in July 2026.
Currently fitted with a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate air shock, purchased new.
Includes an additional air can and volume spacers for further tuning.
Shock has less than 20 hours of riding time.

Fork
Marzocchi Z1 Coil
Adjustable travel from 150170 mm, currently set to 160 mm.
Includes Medium and Firm springs (currently fitted with the Firm spring).
Purchased new in 2025.
Approximately 50 hours of use.
Lower leg service completed during the travel adjustment in Jully 2026

Cockpit
Specialized 45 mm stem.
ProTaper handlebar, 31.8 mm clamp, 50 mm rise, cut to 760 mm.
ODI Troy Lee Designs lock-on grips.
Handlebar purchased new in 2025 with less than 20 hours of use.

Rear Wheel
Hope Pro 4 Boost hub.
DT Swiss spokes.
Hope Fortus rim.
Tubeless setup.
Maxxis DHR II DoubleDown 3C MaxGrip.
The bike will be delivered with a brand-new rear tire (not the one shown in the photos).
Approximately 100 hours of use.

Front Wheel
Lapierre Boost wheel with Centerlock hub.
Removed from my new e-bike.
Less than 20 hours of use.

Brakes
Shimano XT 4-piston brakes.
Shimano sintered pads with cooling fins.
Purchased new in 2025.
Approximately 50 hours of use.
Fresh brake bleed completed this month and new brake pads
Rear rotor: 200 mm SRAM CenterLine (6-bolt).
Front rotor: 220 mm SRAM HS2 (Centerlock).

Drivetrain
Brand-new Shimano SLX 12-speed rear derailleur and shifter.
SRAM GX Eagle cassette.
Brand-new SRAM chain.
Race Face Turbine cranks.

Seatpost
Specialized fixed (non-dropper) seatpost.

Condition
The bike shows normal cosmetic signs of use consistent with its age, including minor scratches and marks. Mechanically, it is in excellent condition and is ready to ride. Many of the components are either new or have very low riding hours, as detailed above.

Sale Conditions

Price: CHF 2,200.
Reasonable offers will be considered, particularly depending on the distance I need to travel to meet the buyer.
Because this is a custom-built project bike, I will not ship it.
I am willing to drive up to four hours from Bern on weekends so the buyer can inspect the bike before purchase. Payment in cash upon collection.
Original purchase receipts for the RockShox shock and Marzocchi fork are included for service history and possible manufacturer recalls.
