Very rare hand-wound 3-pickup set for Stratocaster: the Mark Foley "Number One" (Lone Star Series), hand-crafted in the UK by Mark and sold exclusively through Peach Guitars.
This is set number 259 sold in early 2022, delivered 100% complete in its original, hand-numbered early batch collector illustrated box. The original invoice from Peach Guitars is available and will be provided to the buyer.
These pickups retail on Peach Guitars for £399. Because they are handmade in very small, meticulous batches by Mark at his UK workshop, they are highly sought-after and almost exclusively available via backorder with long waiting times. Skip the queue and the Swiss import/customs taxes entirely with this ready-to-ship set.
Legendary SRV Sound: Sonically tuned and spec'd to perfectly reproduce the fat, wooden, and highly dynamic tone of Stevie Ray Vaughan's famous "Number One" Stratocaster from his 1983 Toronto gig (Low Inductance Wind).
Condition: Immaculate / Mint condition.
Lead Wires: The vintage-style push-back cloth wires have full factory length, making installation into any Strat pickguard clean and easy.
Historical SRV Accents: The coils feature the historically accurate black protection tape wound around the copper windings, protecting them from pick strikes and sweat oxidation.
Authentic Tooling Marks: Hand-written "N" (Neck) and "M" (Middle) on the bottom black fiber flatwork, with the Bridge pickup left traditionally blank, matching Mark Foleys authentic build signature for this run.
Accessories: Includes the 3 original factory white/cream pickup covers delivered directly by Mark.
Actual Multimeter Readings (DCR):
Neck ("N"): 5.64 k
Middle ("M"): 5.73 k
Bridge (unmarked): 5.88 k
Absolute pure bliss for Blues, Vintage Rock, and thick mid-gain crunch tones when paired with an overdrive or Tube Screamer.
