I have decided to part ways with my 1996 ESP Custom Shop Explorer which I purchased 15 years ago, from it's first owner in the United States.
These sought after guitars saw extremely limited production in Japan between 1992 - 2000, with a few hundred pieces (worldwide!) being built to order at the Custom Shops in Nagano, Tokyo and Sido Island.
Whilst often being known as the 'James Hetfield Explorer', they are primarily renowned for their superb finishes, with ESP almost producing them to a loss due to the high quality standards of the Japanese craftsmen.
The iconic 'Explorer' body cut was retired in 2000 due to the famous lawsuit with Gibson, literally making this one of a few hundred guitars ever built.
This guitar is 30 years old, sporting obvious dings and scratches to the paint and hardware. Technically and structurally, it is in faultless condition, with superb playability and tone. The hardware, electronics and hard case (save a new superior quality handle) are all factory originals!
Worldwide Shipping (insured up to 3800 USD) = 190 USD / Shipping within EU (insured up to 3000 Euro) = 150 Euro
