This item is a rare Digigram MidiMic, a vintage audio-to-MIDI converter microphone released around 1988.
It functions by converting vocal pitch or wind instrument signals into MIDI data, allowing you to control synthesizers or sound modules directly with your voice.
The unit features an unusual sloping head designed for singing into, a matte black finish, and includes a hard plastic briefcase for storage.
It also includes an auxiliary RCA line input, enabling it to act as a pitch-to-MIDI converter for other instruments.
