Up for sale is a magnificent, extensive collection of 51 vintage Masons Ironstone china in the highly sought-after "Vista" (Blue) pattern. This is not just a starter set; it is a comprehensive dinner service that has been carefully curated over time.
This set features the classic intricate blue and white English countryside scene with the signature embossed, scalloped rim that makes Masons Vista so iconic and collectible. Based on the backstamps, this set primarily dates from the mid-20th century (1940s1950s), featuring the "Detergent Proof" and "Acid Resisting Colours" formulation in most items, making it much more durable and suitable for modern use than earlier antique versions.
Condition:
The entire set is in Excellent to Very Good Vintage Condition. The transferware colors are vibrant, and the glaze retains a beautiful shine. As is common with vintage ironstone, they present minor signs of age, such as crazing, but this does not affect the integrity or beauty of the china.
