This trusty KVM switch (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) got me through the infamous home office times during Covid. After upgrading my hardware, I no longer require it.
-Suitable for multi-monitor workstations, video wall control setups, and multi-system trading desks
-Switches keyboard, mouse, dual DisplayPort monitors (typical 60-75Hz), and audio across 4 computers
-Dual 4K monitors generally run at 60Hz
-Higher refresh rates (>60Hz) require monitors and GPUs that support DSC (Display Stream Compression)
-Lower resolution monitors (e.g., 1440p) tend to deliver more reliable high refresh performance.
-The manufacturer publishes a monitor compatibility page for this model
Included:
-6 DisplayPort cables (minimum DP1.2; possibly DP1.4, but not guaranteed)
Required (not included):
-4 USB-B to USB-A or USB-B to USB-C cables for keyboard/mouse switching
Recommendations:
-Use a wired USB-A keyboard
-Logi Bolt USB-A wireless mice work well via their dongles
Audio:
-Audio-out (speaker) switching works through the DisplayPort cables (ideal for monitors with built-in speakers)
-Analog audio-out (external speakers) switching via the 3.5mm jack requires 5 additional audio cables (not included)
-Analog audio-in (microphone) switching is also supported via the 3.5mm jack and requires 5 additional audio cables (not included)
-DisplayPort does not carry microphone audio
