For sale our ACTIVE (!) worm farm: VEVOR 5-Tray worm composter with a healthy and happy population of Red wiggler worms (Eisenia fetida). Everything is ready to start your own worm-composting journey. The worm farm is active, continuously fed, and the worms are fully adjusted to their place.

Worms: Full population, approximately 2000-4000 of red wiggler worms (Eisenia fetida) spread over two or three with around 5-10 kg of vermicompost already in the farm. Worms population grew from a starter bought in Switzerland around 1.5 years ago.

Composter condition: Very good condition, only dirty from active usage as a worm farm, fully functional

FAQ:
1. How much vermicompost was this farm producing?
With a tray rotation + maturing trays, the worm farm was producing ~4-5 kg of vermicompost (full tray) every 60 days during the summer. Slowed down during winter, to 90 days for one tray.

2. How heavy is this?
Too heavy to carry comfortably in hands, probably ~10-12 kg due to all the compost and worms inside.

3. Can the worm farm stay in the apartment?
Yes, initially we kept them at home for half a year. They smell great, like a woody forest.

4. Can the worm farm stay in the basement?
Yes, for the last year, including the entire winter, we kept it in a cold basement, which gets the temperature down to around 10 *C. During winter in these low temperatures, worms only slowed down eating and reproduction but were perfectly fine. Now everything is again very busy and active, with a lot of juveniles and new vermicompost.

5. Do you deliver?
No, pickup only.

6. What is included?
Black worm composter of 5 trays as visible in the picture. Cover. Healthy population of 2000-4000 Red wiggler worms, a lot of compost either ready or in process. Shredded card-board in the inoculating trays (future feeding trays).
