The Selmer USA 164 Tenor Saxophone was manufactured by Selmer in the US in the 1980s this one being one of the later models prior to changing the model and officially naming them Omega. Omega is a nickname for these but not marked on the saxophone. This was Selmers attempt to manufacture a professional saxophone in the US to compete with the Mark VII and the SA80 which were made in Paris, France. These are very well made saxes and they play great.

Both of the 164's I have played in the past seemed like a great mix of Selmer Paris Mark VI and Super Action 80. Kind of the best of both built into one tenor.
