Selling my custom-built workstation. I built it to run local LLMs and heavy ML experiments while writing my Master's thesis, and now that I've wrapped up I no longer need a machine this powerful sitting at home.

Ideal for:
Local LLM inference (24 GB VRAM + 128 GB system RAM is a sweet spot for 70B-class models)
ML/DL training and fine-tuning
Computer vision, simulation, 3D rendering
Anyone who wants a serious Linux workstation without paying 2026 new-build prices

Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-12700K (12 cores / 20 threads)
GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3090 Ti (24 GB GDDR6X)
RAM: 128 GB DDR5
Motherboard: MSI MEG Z690 Unify (flagship-tier, DDR5)
Storage: 5 TB total NVMe
Case: Fractal Design North (black, walnut front)
OS: Ubuntu 24.04 LTS pre-installed (happy to wipe or reinstall Windows if preferred)

Condition: Excellent. Non-smoking household, never overclocked, never used for crypto. Used almost exclusively for research and writing.

Note on the price: current DDR5 prices mean that the 128 GB of RAM alone is worth CHF 1,400 - 2,000 at retail right now, and the 3090 Ti is still a premium AI card.

Pickup in Luzern preferred. Can demo the machine running before you take it. Serious inquiries welcome.
