The Capri is a tribute to the timeless allure of classic automobiles, with a special nod to the legendary Ford Capri. This series of instruments boasts a 30" scale, offering a unique blend of playability and character. Crafted with a roasted maple neck and fingerboard, these guitars exude warmth and resonance that's sure to captivate any discerning musician. But what truly sets the Capri apart is its commitment to classic tone. Equipped with a set of passive hand-wound pickups, these guitars offer a tonal palette steeped in vintage richness. The inclusion of CTS-style pots ensures precise control over your sound, giving you the power to craft your own musical journey. The Capri is more than just an instrument; it's a new classic, a testament to the fusion of automotive inspiration and musical craftsmanship with Onyx Green being the classic color found on many Capris of the time.
Due to health issues I bought this bass to replace my beloved P bass which had become too heavy & long to play comfortably. The Capri has done a great job taking over both in sound & ease of play. Unfortunately, the health issues are still a problem so it hasn't gotten much play since I purchased it last year so it's time to set it free. My loss is your gain as they say.
I replaced the stock string retainer with one from Sadowsky [28 CHF] to help with the A-string making proper contact with the nut. I also replaced the stock knobs with some radio knobs to highlight the time period of this classic car [originals included]. The Ashdown emblem is a bit of cheeky fun that can easily be removed if you so choose. The foam under the strings is for that funky/classic Motown vibe which can easily be removed as well.
STRINGS: GHS Pressurewound Short Scale Bass - Light Gauge 40-96 [~40 CHF]
ALSO INCLUDED:
Fender FBSS-610 Short Scale Bass Gig-bag [35 CHF]
1 lightly used set of LaBella Low Tension Flats for Short Scale Bass [53 CHF]
[Tuner in photo NOT INCLUDED]

Fingerboard - Roasted Maple

With 480 CHF into this bass [including ALL extras] I think 350 is a more than fair price considering that it's practically new & unplayed [+ it's here in Switzerland & available right now]. So, if you're looking for something unique with a classic sound this bass has you covered.
