The Paul Reed Smith PRS SC58 electric guitar is a vintage inspired singlecut guitar with a comfy 24.5" scale length and several significant enhancements from it's predecessor.
This amazing instrument features a "flamed to death" Artist Grade Flame Maple Top on a Mahogany body & finished in the vibrant & elegant Black Gold utilizing the innovative new V12 PRS finish.
New features for 2011 are the PRS two-piece adjustable bridge which significantly enhances the tone & resonance as well as the 57/08 pickups & the innovative new V12 PRS finish. The new "pattern" neck carve feels like home instantly and new Phase III locking tuners
Coupled with a pair of 1957/2008 pickups, the most exciting, talked about pickups since the PAF! PRS obtained exclusive rights to the original pickup wire used in the most revered pickups in the '50s. Paul Reed Smith obtained the rights to the wire in 2008, and 1957 was the year the humbucker was first commercially available, hence the name 1957/2008. These are truly amazing, warm toneful pickups with tremendous note bloom, articulation and must be heard to be believed. They will cover the tonal spectrum & will do vintage & modern tones with authority!
