Olcello
It is never too late to learn to play an instrument. Choosing the teacher is as
important as choosing the instrument. For beginners and children alike,
building a sound technical basis is essential to enjoy cello or piano playing.
Both the technique as well as the musical experience and sensitiveness are
important. Beginners and advanced students benefit from Olga?s
professionalism and experience in order to develop their abilities.
Olga studied in Moscow Gnesin Academy of Music in a very strong
Rostropovich tradition (her teacher studied with Mstislav Rostropovich). Also
she studied piano with professor from Moscow Conservatory. Currently she
perform as a soloist at her project Ol. Cello and as a chamber musician. She
take part in projects with different music formations.
As a child she won many prizes in regional and International Competitions
such as New Names 2000 and Symphony 2002. Holder of a fellowship of the
Culture Foundation of Russian Federation (2003).
She is highly experienced and proficient not only at the standard classical
cello repertoire, she is also performing different music styles as pop, pock,
jazz and she has experience in teaching cello from 2004 to the present. Olga
teaches children, teenagers and adults in classical or modern music in Zug
and Lucern.
